Thank you. I am always looking for great books for my son (an avid reader) and it’s even better when I can find a book that we both enjoy! My most recent find that encouraged discussion and that we both loved is – Mentors and Tormentors, on the Journey to Self-Respect by Tim Jones. The book follows a teen named Wendall who has a hard time focusing on the positive – and all the good things he has going in his life. Each chapter Wendall is introduced to a new person/character who teaches him a valuable life lesson in a sometimes funny, super relatable way. The book discusses helping others without getting in the middle of their problems, caring less – or not at all – about what others think or say, and how to say no. I have to say that I even learned some things after reading this book too. I recommend it for parents of teens and for teens! Hope this makes it on a future list.
